On appeal, CSP Limoges had one of the three wins withdrawn by the National Basketball League due to accounting irregularities.
The appeal chamber of the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) reduced the number of wins from CSP Limoges in the Elite championship from three to two due to accounting irregularities, the FFBB announced on Friday. The fine imposed on Limougeaud club was also reduced from 15 thousand euros to 10 thousand euros.
The financial police of the National Basketball League (LNB) decided to withdraw three wins on November 15 and fine the club 15,000 euros. The Supreme Board of Directors therefore approved “a significant deterioration between the club’s estimated accounts as of June 30, 2023 and its closed accounts as of June 30, 2023”,
Limoges CSP took into account the decision announced by the FFBB Appeals Chamber to reduce the sanction to two withdrawn victories and a fine of 10,000 euros.

There is a period of 15 days. CSP, which became the French and European champion 11 times in 1993, found itself in 14th place in the rankings after the 16th day with six wins and 8 losses.
