Carmaux. Rugby: Results of first part of season satisfactory for chairman

Last Wednesday, the young USC players’ Christmas was a moment of great festivity, an opportunity to enjoy the stump and hand out traditional gifts. USC head of rugby Élodie Durand-Quintard commented: “80 kids from the rugby school had the chance to receive a duffel bag and hat. We also gave them the season’s running trousers. A sincere thank you to our generous sponsors.”

Two days later, students, juniors, women and seniors met for an appetizer. In total, about a hundred guests gathered at the Mille-Club. After the confectioners’ truce and before the resumption of the various championships, Élodie Durand-Quintard gave an assessment of the first part of the season. A president who is particularly pleased with his soldiers: “It is great to live in a USC that has come back to life and where harmony reigns among all teams. Friendship is important. I am especially pleased with this harmony for the future of our club.” Let’s continue in this direction. We are proud of everyone, from the rugby school to the seniors. The numbers at the rugby school have improved positively and our meeting with Valence-d’Albigeois is going very well. We have many projects: inter-school tournament, disabled people project and youth tournament. The Stars have conceded only one defeat and the junior team, which has not existed for five years, is starting to make its mark. The women are in a good place and energizing the club. The 25 players of the leisure team train with Jérôme Teysseyre on Tuesday. As for the seniors, the targets were achieved with first place for the 1st team and third place for the reserves. We still need to work and endure because nothing has been done. But you should know how to enjoy the present moment. USC rugby wishes you a happy holiday season and see you in January.”
