Castres. Borde Basse rugby players start with great enthusiasm

Borde Basse High School’s rugby players returned to the field for the first UNSS rugby day of excellence just before the school holidays in Montauban.

This day, originally planned for December 6, had to be postponed due to the closure of the fields in Tarn-et-Garonne for climatic reasons.

Playing against Bourdelle high schools in Montauban and Bellevue high schools in Toulouse, the young Castres managed to perform well by winning two matches against their opponents who showed great resistance to them.

“Not everything was easy for the Borde Basse high school students,” said the team’s youth coaches Guillaume and Diégo. The start of the second half was complicated by Castres being deprived of possession in each of the two matches. “In the second half, the wind came from the opposite direction and we managed to take the lead.”

The next home match is on January 31

Physical Education teacher and team leader Pierre Robin said he was overall pleased with how the day went. “We had organized ourselves to put them in the best position possible: two coaches, a trainer, room on the bus, a meal and a decent snack… all they had to do was put on their shoes and play, and that’s what they did. “.

It is worth emphasizing the mental state; The mayonnaise looks set and the UNSS spirit of Borde Basse is starting to emerge. We hope this continues.

The next deadline is Wednesday, January 31st in Castres, Borde Basse.
