Toulouse residents will have to wait before returning to the stadium. The first three matches of 2024 will be played away.
After playing their last Ligue 1 match of 2023 on December 20 (a 2-1 defeat to Monaco), Toulouse residents were given a few days of rest. They will return to training on Ramier Island on Thursday, December 28th. TFC players will gather at 10.30 to start preparations for the first match of 2023.
This is the Champions Cup, which Toulouse qualified themselves to compete in after winning the Coupe de France (5-1 against Nantes). Carles Martinez-Novell’s men will challenge Ligue 1 winners PSG at the Parc des Princes on January 3.
After this first match, the Violets will participate in the Coupe de France competition, where they are the champions. As Damien Comolli explained in the mid-season press conference, they want to retain this title. Therefore, TFC will travel to the Alps, to the Chambery field, for the 32nd final on Sunday, January 7 at 17.05.
Ligue 1 will continue their rights next weekend with a trip to Metz on January 14 (3pm). Then the Coupe de France will come to the fore again. If the Violets qualify for this new round, they may have to play away once again for the 4th time in a row. Toulouse residents are guaranteed to return to the Stadium for Lens’ reception in L1 on January 28.
